The Statesman has a good write-up on Binky, an eight-year-old with lymphoma. He'll be on the sidelines Saturday, hopefully calling multiple fake punts.
The Broncos will rotate among Lee Hightower, Bryan Douglas, Quaylon Ewing-Burton, and Antwon Murray and if that doesn't work then ... open tryouts at halftime. Bring your turf cleats.
The Pattster will appear in an all-star game in Phoenix on January 3rd, which is convenient since the Fiesta Bowl is played down there on January 2nd. The universe has given us a sign.
Stay safe out there, holiday shoppers.
One more thing ...
Today marks the one-year anniversary of the blackest of Black Fridays - Boise State's loss to Nevada. I don't know about you, but just thinking about the day after Thanksgiving gives me the shakes now. I am not over that loss, and I don't know that I ever will be. The best I can hope for is that Boise State never loses to Nevada again, Colin Kaepernick flunks the NFL in a fireball of interceptions and bad decisions, and the Broncos make a BCS bowl this season and every season after. Also, I'm kind of glad that Boise State isn't playing football today. Three-hundred-sixty-five days later, it's still too soon.
