Let us just be serious: The chances for Boise State all exist with the Fiesta Bowl. Arizona loves Boise State and the Fiesta Bowl executives desperately want to get the game back to the stature that it once was. Any team with Oklahoma in the name against Boise State would make people forget about the illegality of the Fiesta Bowl mess, at least for a while. The BSU fan base has brought more money into Arizona than most Cardinal playoff games put together (that is a fact) and Boise State is the 7th best traveling team in the country. Consider the alternatives of Stanford - fan base doesn't travel and the Fiesta Bowl execs will be speaking with the Orange Bowl execs about last year. Remember VT vs Stanford and a stadium that didn't sell out? How about Kansas State? Who wants to see a rematch of Oklahoma or Oklahoma State and Kansas State and who wants to see that game anyway? The Sugar Bowl is much farther and there will be fewer fans that travel to see Boise State unless we are playing someone like Alabama or LSU (which doesn't look like the case). Finally, the Sugar Bowl execs watched Boise State get beat by TCU while the Fiesta Bowl execs watched Boise State beat San Diego State.
