They still remain one spot ahead of Houston, but I figure that should change as long as Houston keeps winning. Houston should face Southern Miss in the C-USA title game so that could be a potential loss for the fighting Keenums. However, to qualify for automatic BCS bid as a non AQ team, you have to be a conference champion. And the chances of TCU losing to UNLV and Colorado State, both at home, are not that good.
The Vegas Bowl gets first choice of Mountain West team and aren't obligated to take TCU. That game is slated for December 22nd which is the day I'm schedule to fly home for Christmas. Nothing like trying to catch the Boise State game during layovers in the airport.
Luckily the loss didn't affect Patti's plans. He is set to graduate this semester and enroll in classes at Boise State this spring in time for spring football. Patti will be in the running to replace Kellen along with Joe Southwick, Grant Hedrick and Jimmy Laughrea.
Bill Connelly details the injuries across the nation and comes to the conclusion that your favorite player probably got hurt. He didn't even get to Boise State probably because Kellen was still standing, but pretty much everyone else has gone down for Boise State this year.
I would like to put this under the category of "he would".
