OBNUG Pick 'Em: Week Five Results and Week Six Games

Commenter Tiga didn't think it would happen. Well, neither did I. I just expected them to cover. But Auburn was able to pull off the upset of South Carolina , thanks to SC quarterback Stephen Garcia. More Stephen Garcia = more losses for South Carolina = Georgia winning the SEC East, hopefully.

Unfortunately the Old Ball Coach Steve Spuurier has pulled Garcia, and Connor Shaw will get the start this week versus Kentucky. Georgia just needs one more loss by South Carolina to be in the SEC East driver's seat, but I don't think that they will get it this week.

Stone cold lock of the century of the week

Last week I took Clemson (+7) over Virginia Tech and they not only covered, but outright whooped up on Virginia Tech and beat them by 20 points. I still don't understand how Virginia Tech was giving points in that game. That moves me to 3-2 on the year for the lock of the week. Here's how I'm going to get to 4-2:

Arkansas (-10) OVER Auburn

Auburn played really well last week but they were playing against Stephen Garcia. I think that this week Arkansas and Tyler Wilson carve up the Auburn secondary en route to an easy win over Auburn. Lock it down!

Not all games can fit into Yahoo's weekly Pick 'Em board, especially not the WAC ones that no one cares about. Well, we care about them. This week's bonus game:

Idaho (-4.5) OVER Louisiana Tech

Idaho traveled all the way across the country to play Virginia last week and almost beat them. I have no way to know how the score was that close since I didn't see any highlights or read any recaps but I'm thinking that the Fighting Akeys may actually have some fight left in them. This week they are home playing an equally woeful Louisiana Tech team and I think they just might pull this one out and cover in the process.
