The LA Times caught up with Brotzman to find out that he is coaching high school kickers in Meridian and is set to play with the AFL's Utah Blaze when the AFL's season resumes. Glad to hear from Brotz and glad to hear he still enjoys football and hasn't been scarred by the game.
This year's bobblhead players -- Titus Young, Austin Pettis and Ryan Winterswyk -- all received $500 for being enshrined. Seems low but Boise State says they have only made between $2,360 and $3,668 each year they've been produced.
In case you missed it, TCU lost to SMU in OT this past weekend. The Horned Frogs scored 23 points in the 4th quarter just to send the game to OT.
It would have been nice to see Fresno pick up a win against an SEC team the week before they play Boise State, but they couldn't hold on and ended up falling to the Rebels by a score of 38-28.
And of course it's a throw away comment that he doesn't back up, because isn't that just a commonly held belief about how Boise State would do if they played in the SEC?
Which of course leads to a history of trick plays in the Red River Rivalry. I really hope that Harsin dissects the Oklahoma defense and takes them down.
