My Biggest Regret as a Bronco Fan

It was December of 2006. Christmas was upon us and the Boise State Broncos had been selected to play in the Fiesta Bowl. I had a ticket with my name on it and all I had to do was say "yes" and get myself to Glendale.  Only I didn't say "yes". Having just (yet again) spent too much during Christmas, I decided to not spend the cash and declined attending the Fiesta Bowl.

Big mistake.

Little did I know I would be missing one of the greatest college football games of all-time and the single greatest game in the history of BSU football. From that moment forward, I vowed to never let it happen again.  I would have gotten past the money, but would have the memory until the day that I die.

In 2010, I attended the Fiesta Bowl made some of the best memories of my life. I can't think of a better Christmas present.

This year has the makings of another great moment in Bronco history. There is already speculation that Boise could face LSU in the Sugar Bowl. Of course, a lot has to happen for that to be true and I'm not one to put the cart before the horse.  But at the same time, I don't want to try and make this a last-minute decision come Christmas time. So I'm going to start saving my money now.

The message I have for Bronco fans is, if you're thinking about making the trip to a BCS bowl this year, I urge you to do it and start planning for it now. If the game were to be in New Orleans against LSU, the Broncos could use all the fan support they can get and I firmly believe the fan support has a lot to do with the outcome in those games. The memories and camaraderie are an experience you'll never forget.

Don't make the same mistake I made and live with the regret. If you have the means, make it happen!
