You probably won't like what you see, but I'm providing you with my portion of the OBNUG poll. At the start of the year, it started with blatant homerism and opinion, but once the number started coming in, I was able to rank in a more balanced and level-headed fashion. Too bad this method won't make any new friends. My portion of the OBNUG poll is highlighted on preseason and weeks 1-5. Beginning in week 3, I was loosely able to rank all the teams in the FBS. For fun (because I'm a nerd and I think spreadsheets are oodles of fun), I've also started collecting my very simplistic version of a SOS. I've ranked both individual teams and conferences SOS as they are now and a "predictor" on what SOS will be at the end of the year (if things continue as they are going). I've also highlighted a "REAL" ranking for now and end of season. It simply ranks teams by the product of their win percentage and my SOS. The predictor puts the whole Big12 in the BCS games and ranks an undefeated Boise State 33rd below a 2-loss Ohio State. No wonder we hate computers so much.
