Hello Bronco Nation,
I am new to posting on OBNUG. I am a huge Boise State fan living in Vancouver, Washington. Any way, I dig the blog and the awesome level of detail provided by the creators. Good job. So, on to why I finally decided to join up and start posting........
Something has been eating at me as the season has progressed. BSU started out the season ranked at, what, like #5? Since then, the team has taken care of its business. Sadly, the schedule is pretty lame. The usual jump by teams like Wisconsin (who's schedule is far from impressive) has happened. No big deal, long season etc. As the weeks have progressed, I have noticed the talking heads at ESPN etal now typically only display graphics and discuss the three way love fest that is Bama, LSU and Oklahoma almost exclusively. In years past, it seemed like any discussion about the polls focused on more than just the top three teams. When the discussion does expand, there has not been much discussion about Boise. You hear a bit here and there about Standford/Luck, Oklahoma State, Clemson. Seldom does the #5/#6 team in the nation (depending on which poll you are looking at) get any air time. Boise sits there like the proverbial elephant in the room. By being so good for so long and still not being seen as legit, the Broncos have single handedly changed the conversation about polls, rankings and the pursuit of the BCSNC.
Y'all have probably hashed this topic over before, but the situation seems more obvious this season over seasons past.
