So I was driving home from the game thru Pittsburgh
Left DC at 2 am to avoid drive time traffic, and as we neared Pittsburgh we turned on the radio we were still a ways off just coming up on Morgantown WV when we picked up 93.7 The Fan, while listening to the three stooges they have on the radio at that un Godly hour they each had their own rant of the day segment, as they took turns the second guy went off on his first rant, of which I thought you all would find of interest. It would appear he’s started seeing folks wear BSU hats and shirt in Pittsburgh and one here and one there was fine could be Boise transplants but after Mondays win I guess that grew to 100’s and of this he took offense. He proceeded to call these folks bandwagon fans, told them they had no right to be Boise State fans and went on for about 5 minutes ridiculing people who support BSU football that don’t live in Idaho. He went even further saying no one should be a BSU fan unless they live in Idaho and should support a team that is close to home.
To say the least I laughed my a$$ off at this moron, just another BSU hater. I should also add these morons went on to argue that Pitts loss to Utah wasn’t really a loss, you seem Utah was a 3 point favorite, and after all it was being played in Salt Lake and the team did only lose by 3 points in overtime so in their words they should still be ranked ahead of Utah because you see the they went to Utah and did just what everyone thought they should do lose by 3 ? I kid you not these idiots believed that!

Heinz
Wasn’t it a few years ago that a large number of Idaho/Oregon folks who worked for Ore-Ida, which was bought out by Heinz, were given the option to relocate from Boise to Pittsburgh to continue with the company? All those shirts around town he may have been seeing were from former Idahoans now transplanted in the Steel City.
As if it's completely unnatural to represent your team the day after a big win.

Strange to hear this from Pittsburgh
I’ve never been bothered by the fact that you can find Steelers fans sporting Steelers gear in practically every corner of the country. People like the image that the Steelers have projected for decades. Not surprising that people around the country would want to identify with that.
If more people are becoming BSU fans around the country with no connection to the school or to Idaho, I’m fine with that. They will only be bandwagon fans if they jump off in a down year.

That's like saying you can only be a Yankee fan if your'e from the Bronx.
Or a Notre Dame fan because you’re from Northern Indiana.
Or a Cowboys fan from Texas.
There’s a reason they call it a National following. Because its… national..
How did any other National fanbase begin?

I better
root for NIU… I would only have a problem if they bought the shirts after the VT game, which is unlikely because they are in Pitt. The more the better
