The knowledgeable OBNUG readership will forgive me my wordplay on the opening line of Shakespeare's "Richard the Third" as it aptly sums up the situation here IMO. I use "dis"-content to refer to the absence of content we Bronco fans (and all football fans) must deal with as the sunlamp of the Boise summer bears down in its relentless intensity; ok maybe not so much this year. Its usually hottest around the 4th and then, because we are near the 45th parellel, we start to see it ebbing fairly soon. July is the last month of bare bones Bronco boilerplate. At its end-fall camp. Repeat, say it out loud-FALL CAMP. Was there ever a fall so anticipated in the blue and orange? Our "dis"-content will return to "full"-content (I know-I make Yogi Berra sound like Winston Churchill) as we deconstruct the battle (very few actually) for positions, the potential for adjustments to the offense (see previous), the refinements on the defensive schemes (Ibid.). Thanks to the Monsters of the Midway, most esp Drew and Kevan, we've had a lot to distract us these past months. I sense "something in the air" (ref-you know)-the karma gods may be tipping their hands somewhat by giving us such a fall-like summer (so far).
Ok this column has wavered off point. Jonesing for real Bronco news can do that. Final thought:
"July, she will fly
and give no warning to her flight."
