Top 100 list

I love it that Moore is number 6 and Titus gets some recognition by showing up on the list, too. But the list isn’t complete. Pettis needs to be on it and ranked fairly high.

While we’re at it, just put all the Broncos on the list except maybe Burroughs and Brotzman!

Tyrod Taylor ahead of Kellsy?

Should make for some nice extra hype for the showdown with VT.

It should be noted, however, that Tyrod Taylor isn’t half the QB that Kellen is. Athlete? Absolutely. Dual Threat? Sure. But Taylor’s numbers look pathetic next to Kellen’s end o’ story. Taylor has 20 career TDs and 15 career INTs. He’s about half the running threat of a Kaepernick or Masoli. Sorry.

Good call Drew

And while we’re at it, I have problems with Terrelle Pryor at number 4.

Yeah he’s big, fast, and athletic but that certainly doesn’t mean he’s the fourth best player in the country. I mean, with that logic shouldn’t Kaepernick be ahead of Moore too??

We were all throwing Pryor out after abysmal perfromances mid-season last year.

It was both Ohio State and Iowa’s win in their BCS bowls that put him back in the picture. Anyone else ready for Big 10 being overrated next year? I’m predicting the sweater vest back in the title game because nobody will challenge them (again). They may even lose to a bumbling USC and still be in.

to be fair...

…shad keeps saying his list isn’t an indication of best players (note how there aren’t any OLs) but the STARS of the 2010 season. taylor and pryor will definitely get some publicity (as will Moore).

RE: depth chart shake-up

i think that’s awesome. Coach Pete just did 2 things…

1) Lit a fire under the returning starters. Just because you had a job last year doesn’t mean you’ll have one this year. The battles for RB and WR playing time just got more interesting.
2) Completely opened it up for the young, new guys to seize the reigns and begin their “eras” here. Guys like Malcolm Johnson, Matt Miller, Jeremy Ioane, etc will probably be given every chance possible to become starters this year. And I hope some new guys step up and take those spots.

Thank you, Nick Adenhart. You will always be remembered. #34

It is only logical Captain...

To get that kind of talent to commit here, you have to do this every year. If there is a status quo with starters or upper classmen, then it makes it harder to attract great talent to a school like BSU. The big schools, talent is more willing to sit and bide their time.

Coach Pete is smart, he keeps all players engaged and excited to perform and to improve. Even those riding pine most of the time know they have to have their head and heart into 110%, because you know you will get a chance and you don’t want to bomb it.

Pete really understands the dynamics of a team. This is where he outshines the rest of the country. He really gets it.

BSU don't need smoke and mirrors to get the job done, they got orange pants.

What no BBall comments?

We won! Shant we be happy? I know we all want Graham gone, but atleast we aren’t last in the conference anymore.. And it not even because of a tie!

Wow.

I guess you’re right — a little optimism may be good.

We have a chance to tied with Idaho for 2nd to last in conference, but more surprisingly, we can be tied for 5th in the WAC for overall record.

So THIS is how other fans in WAC football celebrate mediocrity!
