Byron Hout moves to middle linebacker, Hunter White moves to nickel
I approve. Hout was born to play middle linebacker, and moving him creates space for incoming DE Tyrone Crawford. White was buried on the LB depth chart and should have more success playing outside the box. Do you like these moves?

I like it
Byron has some pretty good speed and is pretty explosive. He will force teams to run outside where we have even better speed to match. Hunter will do well at nickel. Its the result of deeper and deeper talent.

At first no, but the more I think about it the more it makes sense.

My first thought is if White moves to nickel
than Ioane should definitely redshirt. With Venable, White, Robinson and our redshirt frosh safeties I see no reason to burn a year when the kid will not see much time. Hout at MLB makes sense assumign we’re in th e4-3; not sur ehow he fits with Acrey and Tevis in the 4-2(?).

Love the move
To me it makes a lot of sense. Not just for Hout but White too. Can you imagine the extra intensity there will be at that linebacker position for the rest of the year?

Like any of us are going to disagree.
When Hout snatched Dalton’s pass out of the air at less than five yards away, I couldn’t understand why he spent so much time watching the game instead of playing. I swear he was headed for the end zone before the pass left Daltons hand. I said it before, the coaches have something big in store for him.
He seems like a gammer. I bet he would give anything to be on the field all the time. At any position.
