The game with Virginia Tech is the first game of this upcoming season. I have been reading and posting on the east coast college blogs. The V.T. blog has been very fair but other acc and sec blogs have not. They always bring up that game with georgia. I tell them that Kellen Moore is a better qb than Jared Zabransky and that BSU returns 21 of 22 starters. They still think V.T. will win. I say your team wins by 7-10 points and i predict a final score of BSU 31/ Vt 21. What is your prediction?

I don't like to predict points
I don’t want to jinkx my team. Boise is way better than that 05 team in every way. Moore is a smarter QB than Z, the players have been in big games before, and the coaches we have now are second to none.
I like your prediction but I feel that may be a few to many points on this game.
virginia tech defense losses alot and they just lost their second best defensive player for the....
year. i really do think your team will be able to score on them. you might be able to put the beatdown on them.

BSU v VT
I tend to be a little eccentric. To start out, my family is from back east. Specifically, my dad is from Boston, Mass therefore that makes me a sox/bruins/celts/pats/bc fan…But Boise State?!? It all starts in 1996 when the Bledsoe led Pats played the Packers in the SB. We lost that year but starting in 2001, the Pats won 3 of 4 super bowls, thus becoming an NFL dynasty. The Sox, winless in WS since 1918, won two WS in 3 years. The Bruins, a constant in the NHL playoffs and the Celtics, National Champs 17 times… but Boise State? I lived in Boise during high school and had football camp on the blue. Well, for some reason before all the Band-wagoners come out of their mediocrity, I am a fan of some winning sports systems, and I love underdogs. I have a feeling that Boise State will make a name for themselves in the upcoming season by securing a national championship and doing so beautifully. This team is the complete offense, defense and steams. I have complete confidence in coach Pete, and can’t wait for my Broncos to udderly dominate any opponent they face. Go! Orange! Go Big Blue! Fight! Fight! BSU!!!
The dirty little secret about the Georgia game
is really only one person had a bad game Z. If you watch the game the team played well, and the D didnt lose heart until the 4th or 5th turnover. I remember Ian and Scandrick were pumped the whole game, trying to rally the team. 6 turnovers by 1 guy/ And we’re still living with it. What was especially encouraging is the line play. We played South Carolina in ’02 and they simply blew us off the line. Didnt ahppen with Georgia even thought they had very strong players on both sides of the ball. Also, while their secondary was good, we got open. Z just plain had the football equivalent of a nervous breakdown. We probably werent going to win that game but what happened did not represent the team that we fielded. I may be overstaing that only Z had a bad game but that is how I see it.

who wants to bet on Kellen having a meltdown?
Not I. Kellen’s got big-game experience (which Z didn’t at the time) and sufficient nerves of steel to guard against it. I fully expect a Bronco win and subsequent repentance of the east-coast haters. Until that day we’re just gonna have to listen to them talk their crap.
Wolf, thanks for your advocacy on behalf of the blue and orange. Hope the Utes have a great 2010.

Kellen won't ever have a meltdown.
During TCU, if it wasn’t there, he threw it out of play. That one simple thing separates the two QB’s by miles.

no problem and kellen moore showed me during the tcu game he has got nerve's of steel
and just does not get sacked. both hughes and wahington are going to be late first round early second round draft choices too.

ridiculous
Bringing up a game which took place five freakin’ years ago is absurd. I very much doubt Georgia would want us to come to Athens again, because we’d kick their a—! Not only does KM bring much more to the QB position than Z, but this 2010 team is significantly better at every other position. If the Broncos can control VT’s running game, they will win comfortably.
I also agree with wolfman regarding VT’s blog sites. VT has great football fans who appreciate good football, and who treat their opponents with respect. I’m a UVA grad, and VT is our biggest rival. Despite the fact they kick UVA’s butt more often than not, I have always respected their program, staff, and style of play. It should be a great game which will catapult the Broncos toward a national title!

Excellent remarks ty!
As I said, the Georgia game was a one man wreck. I dont’ know if we could have beat them but 6 turnovers, none of them forced. We couldnt have beaten Mother Theresa’s Calcutta Nuns with that play. Z simply de-compensated. on nat’l tv. I dont expect anything like that at VT.

We couldnt have beaten Mother Theresa’s Calcutta Nuns with that play.
And we still beat the Vandals with that same type of play. :D

you are right about v.t. fans and their blog. they are very gracious over there.
it is mostly the sec people who bring that up. what can you say they have a superiority complex. the bama fans are the worst. vandy has a good blog and if you want fairness goto team speed kills. it’s a overview of the entire sec conference but the guy who runs it and writes on it is very fair. i’m not trying to get people there either. i just happen to belong to many college football blogs and find that one very fair.
