Rec'd

Wonder where he is hiding out these days?
According to LinkedIn he is either a QA Chemist at Abbott Labs or President at Ellis Law, P.C.
Hmmm…

Obviously you're not a golfer...

Oh snap!

I was going to post this!

I can understand Sporting News and the like being so forgiving with minor role-players having legal trouble, but I wonder what kind of hit Oregon’s preseason rankings will take if Masoli suffers any serious repercussion for this?

"Chain-Gang University"

This is starting to get monotonous.

It is kinda weird...and sad

That poor, poor young man

What desperate cricumstances could have driven him to commit such an incomprehensible act? What childhood demons could have brought on such an obvious cry for help? How can we sit here and even suggest a condemnation, we who have never experienced the trauma of this man’s deprived upbringing let alone faced a life on the unspeakably horrific streets of Eugene, Oregon, where the bodies pile up daily and every vestige of human dignity is stripped away daily in a mind numblingly torrential outpouring of agony, despair and all forms of humiliation? I will light a candle and pray forhis reclamation (though not for all of his teammates as this would set off the fire alarm)

It was probably booze Munson.

He probably screwed up his 2nd chance at doing something good. This ain’t his first rodeo. :)

BSU don't need smoke and mirrors to get the job done, they got orange pants.

Ahh demon rum-I should have known

The streets of eugene have claimed another. Can we blame him for seeking the balm and surcease of alcohol in the midst of such dire depravity? No, the wonder is that it didnt happen sooner, and more often.

Masoli suspended for entire season

James has to miss the season opener against UNM.

Huh?

So…if I have this straight: Stealing a laptop from a frat house > Strangling your girlfriend.

by Drew Roberts on Mar 12, 2010 4:59 PM PST reply actions

If you read the sentencing memo, it’s clear that James did not put his hand around his girlfriend’s neck. He grabbed her shirt’s collar during a struggle.

But what he did was still wrong.

its spelled "S-H-U-F-E-L-T-O-B-L-I-G-A-T-E-D-T-O-D-O-I-T"

Weren't all but one of the counts dropped?

Yes, it is still wrong, of course. But I think his was more a random act made from an argument, whereas Masoil’s actions were clearly pre-meditated.

The only reason James "got off" is because he did a plea deal and they dropped the strangulation charge

So if you attempt to strangle someone with a rope, wire, shirt collar etc. it’s OK as long as you don’t put your hands around their neck?

by Drew Roberts on Mar 14, 2010 9:35 AM PST up reply actions

Haha

What makes this story even more funny (to me) and shows how truly stupid Masoli is/was is the fact that PK donated specially engraved macbooks to the University of Oregon’s Center for Student Athletes http://www.tuaw.com/2010/01/23/university-of-oregon-shows-off-engraved-macbook-pros/. Masoli was allegedly stealing some kids macbook… What a dumbBADWORDS.
