The Mikrino Poll: I could be sharing a farmer's omelet with Justin Wilcox right now. What did I dooo?
Why in the world would any orange and blue, through and through Bronco fan want to be at a breakfast for the University of Tennessee's new coaches and next recruiting class?
There really is no good reason to go. I was asked, I said no, but thank you. (This is not a joke.) I had no good reason to listen to Derek Dooley drone on about his Top 10 class of recruits, I'm not endeared to the Volunteers.
Seeing Wendi Nix would have been nice though.

But again, why would I want to listen to Derek "My daddy was a legend so I am too" Dooley talk about the Vols? No offense to Vol fans (which is several of my friends), but I'm just not a Vol fan, I'm a Bronco. I like going to Neyland Stadium to watch big time SEC football, but I really don't care much about the coaches and players.
Until now.

When I first heard Wilcox could be going to UT, my first thought was "DAMN! I should be going to that breakfast!" I was speculative though, because nothing was official and all the reports were simply rumors at that point. But then things started to be eerily turning toward the truth that he was indeed going to Knoxville. And so, I missed an opportunity to show up to the Vols booster breakfast donning my Kellen Moore jersey (Yes, I'm wearing a tie under the jersey, quit pestering me.) Immediately upon hearing the new was official I called the people who had invited myself and a few others I work with to the event, to inform him of the turn events. He had not heard the news yet, but when I told he knew immediately what was on my mind, an opportunity has just passed us by.
Since we declined to go, our seats were given to someone else. We were their first option, but many others were interested, Vol fans no doubt. I'm kicking myself Bronco Nation.
But I did secure a promise from those who invited us. When the time comes at the breakfast (that is taking as type this) to shake hands with the coaches and recruits and exchange pleasantries, there is a chance Justin Wilcox will be told a crazy story of how an avid Boise State fan was invited there today, only to decline mere hours before Wilcox himself arrived in Knoxville.
I'll keep you all posted on how it turns out. Plus, now I really can't wait for Tennessee vs. Florida this fall!
How about a poll!

All quiet on the middle state...
Not a single word about Wilcox going to UT during the sports report in Nashville. It was all recruits and vandy basketball. And forget about the four letter station. I am already tired of the Super Bowl (thank you four letter station for ruining it for me)
I love the colors Orange and Blue. Go Broncos!!! Go Titans!!! BAD WORD Gators!!!
That definitely sucks!!!
Sorry to hear you missed out on such an awesome opportunity, my friend. Maybe there will be future opportunities such as this one though since you are obviously in the vicinity and seem to have good connections.
Yeah I'm sure another opportunity will present itself.
I’ll definitely be at the Vol Walk next year.

Done.
I already know I will be at the Tenn. vs. Fla. game in September. As long as it doesn’t interfere with going to D.C. for labor day, I’m there.
