It seems that Mark May and Craig James have been in a two-man battle for earning the "biggest anti-Boise State, elitist, egotistical, d-bag, loser" award. Well, it seems that we have a clear winner here. While watching ESPN's "Bowl Selection Show," James said something that I never thought would come out of his mouth;
"The Big-12 needs to find a way to get Boise State."
There was more, but the general gist was that if the Big-12 wants to survive, then they need to get Boise State in their conference. Personally, I would love to see that happen. Here is why I think that it is possible. I can't remember who wrote it, but an ESPN columnist said that the BCS is going to just absorb all those that challenge it, including the Broncos. He used TCU going to the Big East as an example. Think about it. Instead of small, BCS-buster schools crashing the party and taking up a coveted spot in the Fiesta Bowl instead of one of their beloved AQ schools, just make said BCS-buster team a member of a BCS conference. It makes sense. Will it happen? I don't know. As a matter of survival for the BCS system, I think it could.
What do you think?
*note: I still hate Craig James. That is all.
