Offensive linemen don't get much glory, but they're the linchpin to any successful team. A good offense always starts with the line and Boise State's line has been great.
After the jump, I'll share some thoughts on senior #59 Will Lawrence.
Will took the untraditional path that most Boise State athletes take to Boise State. He's originally from Maryland and was lightly recruited after high school. Boise State came calling after he had already accepted a scholarship to Kansas State and he changed his mind in some part due to The Blue.
He originally started as a defensive tackle but moved to the offensive line in 2008. He became a full time starter in 2009.
While in D.C., I ran into Will's high school coach in a store outside of the stadium. As we talked, he told me about the tailgate Will's mother was heading up and I could tell the pride that they had being able to watch Will play at home in his final year. Othalene, Will's mother, even had told us that she had reserved 68 tickets for the game.
Will, thanks for the commitment and hard work over the years. Thanks to you and your family for your dedication to Boise State.
