Things are bad. To begin the season we all heard the talking heads on ESPN say how if Boise State runs the table then we just may play in the National Championship game. Fast forward to November, and there is talk that we may not get a BCS game.....AND WE HAVEN'T LOST YET!!!!!! What is going on? I have been listening to "Everybody Hurts" by REM all night long, sitting in my dark room, and contemplating consuming the infamous concoction of applesauce and vodka depending on what happens this weekend. The only thing worse than going un-defeated and not playing in a BCS game would be facing TCU in another bowl game. The jive turkeys at ESPN would play this off as "The Rubber Match," Third Times a Charm," or "The Game to Decide it All." They would try to get the public (and the AQ Conferences) so f*c@in& excited at the fact that no team would be burdened with the daunting task of playing a Boise State or TCU and having to face the press after a shameful loss. Would the BCS do that..... you bet they would. I have a bright idea. Why don't we let Strap-On Herbsrteit, Geritol Corso, Mark May,and Craig "I'm a cry baby" James pick who gets to go to what bowl game, because after all, ESPN has it all right.
And to make matters worse, lets change our heisman picks every week and keep shuffling between the "Darkhorse" candidates with every game. Hey, its November, if we haven't whittled the list down to 5 candidates then what are we doing? No, Taylor Martinez is not a heisman candidate, especially after Brothers Pelini benched his @$$ a few weeks ago. And why not give Mr. Moore credit for his consistency... oh wait, he plays in the WAC, nevermind. Newton, James, and Moore, in my opinion should be the only ones mentioned for the heisman trophy. And, no, I do not think Kellen will win it. He has 2 very worthy candidates ahead of him. I guess that Kellen doesn't give a rip about the Heisman.
Hopefully TCU loses this weekend, just so we can forget about playing them in a BCS game....AGAIN. Someone help me. HELP US ALL. See y'all Saturday.
