Ok first off yeah I went in to massive depression, not the first time over a football ball game, fact is Friday night actually over time might of been only my second most worse single game agony, you see their was a game in 06 , Michigan vs osu, and not only was it 1 vs 2 with the winner a shoe in to the NCG but BO died just 2 days before so my world was rocked, still Last Friday at this moment I consider my biggest crash. Today however was my first day back in the public with a busy schedule and a early start I had no idea just how long to day would turn out to be but considering it was an install day I decided I was going all Boise State shirt and hat, I was going to wear my Boise State colors proudly and before the day was done I found a Hazzle Park Michigan cop waiting in line with me for some China 1 ,who got off his sift at mid night Friday night and watch the last 2 hours of the game who before could of cared less about Boise State but couldn't help become an instant fan and thought the final 13 seconds of the regulation time was the most exhilarating game time he had ever witnessed, oh I started with the end of my day a day that while working with installers at a public location got off to a horrible start as I got a call from my wife that she had passed out at work and I need to come take her to a hospital. As items increased on my days to do list time was crunched and a meeting I had with some lawyers wasn't going to allow me to go home and bath before I need to arrive so I went to the meeting in Levis a Boise State hat and Shirt. It was my first meeting in what I do believe will lead to a very fruitful future, however the owner of the law firm who is a Huge MSU fan and MSU grad couldn't help but spend 30 minutes talking about Fridays game and how he had followed Boise state all year only to find himself with the same gut wrenching feeling he gets when state loses a big game, the pheromone as he called it has him rethinking his whole evaluation on the concept of sports loyalties, how sure teams he wanted to win in game other then MSU had lost but never had he had the utter sickening feeling he had with Boise States loss. I could end with just that and one could certainly start to understand just what is happening around the country in regards to Boise State, but my days experiences were not just these ones, oh no I could of never imagined meeting someone who could of had the same utter loss feelings about friday not with the same passion as I hold who had a whole story to tell in how he became a Boise State fan the when I arrived back at the hospital tonight after learning my wife would be admitted and meet the doctor who was treating her, I just want you all to know at this point nothing seems life threatening but at this moment they can only guess at what is ailing her, and their best guess at this time is it was something she eat that is causing an allergic reaction. Back to the Doc the second I entered the room and he saw all my Boise State gear the conversation went right to the game and Boise state, he spoke with passion about how he started following Boise State back in 2000 and of course about all the things he believed cheated Boise out of the game , he describe how he woke up his wife at 2 am with shouts of joy when Kellen hit Titius on that final successful play of the game for Boise State how his wife just could understand and how crushing it was when the field goal was missed, we must of spent 20 minutes talking Boise State football, I had of course to share the V-Tech game videos on my Iphone just to further show my Boise State Creed! a little antidote here, we never talked about my nor did he do what he had actuall been in the room to do in the first place instead followed me out of the room continuing the conversation as I made my way to the 9th floor elevator as I had to get something to eat and things from home for her, as I entered the elevator he quickly realized he needed to get my wife’s IV's going and ran off after saying so.
Folks If here in metro Detroit in one day 4 days after the fact am inundated by folks from Doctors to Lawyers to cops to factory workers from Madison Heights to Hazzle Park to Royal Oak to Birmingham Michigan in one day, by people who cared and desired not only to stay up until well past 2 am to watch our Bronco's play a wac game in the cool 2000 miles plus away with the same gutted wrench feeling we all felt at the result with the desire to see us rebound and come back better and stronger than before, then and only then can you grasp the new scope of BRONCO NATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's 9:30 and I'm whipped .. Hold your head up Bronco's .
