So. Boise State has lost a game after almost two years of not losing games. It was bound to happen at some point. Any team is capable of lapsing and losing a game they have no business losing. It happens.
Since the Poinsettia Bowl loss, we have seen Bronco Nation grow exponentially. It has been awesome to see, but I have always been disquieted by the possibility that a large portion of Bronco Nation is only here to hitch a ride on the bandwagon powered by the little mid-major team that never loses, and could defy the odds and win a national title. I have been waiting for this to happen. This is a test to see if Bronco Nation is for real.
If you are only here to support a consistently winning football program, I invite you to exeunt the battlefield (ref. "Role Models") and go hitch your wagon to TCU or Auburn or whoever.
I am a fan of Boise State football. I have been since childhood, and their loss to Nevada doesn't change the fact that Boise State runs a first-class innovative football program I am proud to support. And I always will support Boise State. I will be there for these last two games of the year. I will be there next year when BSU starts all over from the bottom of the mountain. I will be there as long as BSU runs a football program with ingenuity, character and integrity.
My question to you is: are you in??
