Coach of the Year: And I thought voting didn't matter
I was bored (and still sick .. wondering now if this flu is terminal) so I clicked on someones tweeting that they voted Coach Petersen Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year. Looking at the rankings, I see Coach Petersen ranked #16, ~200 votes behind #15. Again, I didn't think much of this, as who cares about online fan voting ... real people make this decisions when it omes down to it, right? But then I wrote read this: "The top 15 coaches in each division will make the Evaluation Phase, where they will be judged on Coaching Excellence, Sportsmanship and Integrity, Academic Excellence and Community Commitment. The best coach will emerge victorious, but only if they're in the top 15 in their division, so keep voting!" In other words, if Coach Petersen doesn't make the top 15 in FAN VOTING by December 4th, he's not even considered for this particular Coach of the Year award. So, go register and vote. Register multiple accounts and vote (use your freshman year address and frat nickname). Get Coach Pete eligible, because, apparently, popularity is more important than pure obvious excellence in coaching talent.
