Have you heard about all of the Cam Newton allegations flying around the web? It's getting so crazy that just within the last few hours a rumor spread like wild fire that Cam was going to be suspended in 3-4 hours. Unfortunately, this was false and Auburn and Cam Newton live to see another day.
In case you don't normally tune into the Iron Bowl each year, however, mark your calendars for this one. Because it's going to be crazy when the Auburn Tigers arrive in Tuscaloosa on Black Friday to take on a pissed Alabama team. There's a very good chance for Auburn to lose that game.
Anyway, it got so crazy on Twitter with the suspension allegations that apparently Vegas pulled the line on the Auburn vs Georgia game this weekend. Fear not, though. We will be picking this game as well as some other games of interest on the Week 11 slate.
Note: Due to Boise State playing on Friday night this week, entries will need to be in before kickoff on Friday.
Week 10 Winner
This week we had a doozy of of a tie. There was a 6 way tie for first this week, all with a 7-1 record. They were:
- BUCKY BRONCO
Week 11 Games
#1 Oregon at California (+19.5)
I'm still thinking Oregon's loss will come against Arizona or Oregon State
Georgia at #2 Auburn (-8.5)
I really think this game will be close
#15 Utah at Notre Dame (+5.5)
My coworker who is Notre Dame fan couldn't even argue for a ND win here
#16 Virginia Tech at North Carolina (+3.5)
Pick: Virginia Tech
Hey, lookie there! Virginia Tech is up to #16! But they must be much better than they were on Labor Day.
Louisiana Tech at New Mexico St. (+15.5)
Pick: Louisiana Tech
I really think Louisiana Tech should win by more than two touchdowns here.
Utah St. at San Jose St. (+3.5)
Pick: Utah State
Utah State got their first win in the WAC last week against NMSU. I think things are turning around
#21 Nevada at Fresno St. (+8.5)
Sorry, Pat Hill. You will not win the WAC. Maybe next year.
#4 Boise St. at Idaho (+34.5)
Pick: Boise State
I don't think there is a line too high that I wouldn't take here. This should be ugly.
Here are the overall standings after week 10 with 1 week dropped. I should note that due to to the difference in the number of games each week (8 this week, 10 in previous weeks), the totals of the wins and losses will not be consistent across users. This is evident at the top of our standings this week.
As First Down pointed out last week, there were a bunch of additional losses added between week 8 and week 9. I just saw this comment so I wanted to address it. This is due to the fact that I went behind and added a 0 for all weeks with missing picks. I also added the total number of games for that week as the losses. This is why some users saw their losses jump drastically even though their wins didn't move much. Since losses aren't really what is determining the standings, I probably should have just put in a 0 for losses for these missing weeks as well. But, I really don't want to monkey with it anymore at this point so I'm just going to leave it as is.
Also, if you see a discrepancy like 2 usernames that should be combined, please let me know in the comments.
