Hey Fellas, I haven't had TV in my home for like 12-15 years. I know...it's weird.
Anyway, my main goal is to be able to watch Boise St. games on TV and record them to my PC's Hard Drive so I can make videos out of them. I also want ESPN shows, other CFB games, and Pre / Post Game Shows.
Does anyone know some good websites I can look at to instruct me on how to accomplish this?
My Apt Complex is pre setup for Direct TV and I have Qwest Internet service so that would be the most convenient carrier for me. But, according to a few websites, Direct TV is a little tricky when it comes to getting source material from your DVR to your PC Hard Drive.
Also, I recently heard that one of the main 3 carriers in the Boise area (CableOne, Directv, or Dish Network) are having contract disputes with the network that typically broadcasts BSU games and are not showing BSU games as a result. Can anyone confirm that?
I really don't watch much TV at all, this is strictly to get the BSU games and ESPN shows to my PC for video creation purposes. Since I haven't dealt with TV in more than a decade this whole thing is kinda daunting and unfamiliar to me. Im going to Bestbuy this weekend to see if their Geek Squad can help at all. Any other ideas or resources you guys could point me twds would be greatly appreciated.
Ty All,
Pjohn
