Weeks 7 and 8 SITREP Video

PrintA few things all..
1. This is my very first video with my new Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 10 software
- It took me a while to learn this software and I have loads more to learn still but I am
genuinely excited about it's depth and potential
2. I recently moved to Boise so I haven't had the time to do a weekly video and had to do bi-weekly twice now
3. Keep in mind that this is all new to me and I am still developing my style
- My last video I would term more as a anti-BCS / pro-Playoff vid than a recap
- This video is more of a Concept piece than a recap
- I honestly never know how a video will turn out or what it will be until I'm finished.
It's a little like painting, in that I just throw all the colors on the board and start
swirling things around until an image appears in my mind. That image evolves
in real-time as I tweak audio levels, video transitions, and video sfx
- Those of you who want to see more actual football action please be patient.
As soon as there is another big game with dramatic storylines and lots of highlights
available on the internet (ala Virginia Tech) then you will get a real Football Game
Recap video lol
4. Lastly, I am trying to shorten the videos up some as I think the ADD generation (truthfully,
we all have it a little lol) is skipping by them a lot rofl. I am very wordy and I know it so I'm
working twds more efficiency in my videos. This video is about 6 minutes long with an intro,
opening quotes, and outro. The main part of the video is probably around 4.5 - 5 minutes long.
As always, I hope you all enjoy watching this video as much as I enjoyed making it.

…That was pretty awesome man! When you mentioned in the article that it was 6 minutes, my ADD side took over and I was like “lord jeebus that’s a long movie!”
But as soon as I started watching it I couldn’t stop.

I had pretty much stopped the HD thing after the VT game b/c
1. It takes forever to upload. Now that I’m in Boise I have fiber though :D
2. A lot of my source material comes from Youtube itself and that content is usually pretty low res. I am considering getting Direct TV so I can start recording my own source material though and can do more actual game recaps for BSU. I’m not decided on that yet b/c I hardly ever watch TV and when the football season is over it’s a total waste of money for me.
3. I kinda thought most users prbly didn’t even enlarge the window and just watched it in the default window which works fine for low res.
But I actually have a few things in this video I wanted to edit further that I didn’t catch before (like the black rectangle around the dying rose as it fades in) so maybe I will just render it again in HD and test my new internet speed out with a new upload :D
