PrintAccording to Tom Osborne, Bleymaier has a 2 for 1 deal sitting on his desk. Two in Lincoln and one in Boise. Too bad these games are down the road a bit (first game 2015) but that's how you have to get the good teams on the schedule. Sign it Bley. Talk about selling season tickets! If Bley could get off his fanny and get the same caliber of BCS opponent on the schedule it would do wonders for ticket sales. Sure.......it's a two for one deal but let's be real frank with ourselves here. With a 34,000 seat stadium we are not going to get 'elite' teams to come to Boise without that kind of deal. It's just fact. The issue is enlarging the stadium AND selling out the new configuration. How do you do that? By scheduling big time programs like Nebraska. It's a start -- that's all -- but it's a start.

Big Red and SmurfTurf…sounds like a plan. Let’s do it!! Come on down to Lincoln and dig into a 24oz. prime rib (with a big Idaho spud, of course) at Misty’s. Then wash it down with several beers at either Barry’s Bar&Grill or Brewsky’s in the Haymarket district downtown.

Bley will wait ’til the summer. Still hoping for that MWC invite. This is going to be a very interesting off season.
I am sure Dooley is happy he doesn’t have to face Boise anymore. Maybe he can convince the UT AD to schedule us.

Can we please stop playing the MAC?!? And while I’m thinking about it, what’s the obsession with playing Wyoming?? I know they won their bowl game and all that garbage, but still, can’t we find someone else besides Wyoming to play every couple years?
As far as we know, we’ve had the opportunities but Gene has been turning them down.

my hope
is that the reason we’ve been scheduling Wyoming and MAC teams is to increase our presence in those parts of the country, in order to recruit from those places. But now that we’re a little bigger, it’s time to play more Big-12 type teams, especially historically great programs like Nebraska.
