Sports Illustrated makes a bold prediction in its upcoming issue, a prediction that Bronco Nation will be very pleased to hear: Boise State will be the No. 2 team in the country in 2010.

BCS recap - Sports Illustrated
Notes:
- Do you agree with Andy Staples' top ten? For the record, here are the teams: Alabama, Boise State, Ohio State, Texas, Iowa, Oregon, TCU, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin. Think TCU is too high or too low? What about Oregon?
- If Staples rankings hold true, the Boise State - Virginia Tech matchup would be a battle between No. 2 and No. 9.
- Andy Staples has a vote in the AP poll.
- This quote jumped out at me, possibly because it was in huge letters above a picture but also because I think it applies perfectly to Boise State: "Those best equipped to win championships are often the least equipped to celebrate them." Agree?
What do you think about Boise State being No. 2 in SI's rankings? Do you believe this is a sign of things to come in the 2010 preseason poll? Share your thoughts in the comments.
