"Thinking about the game too much" poll
Recently, I find myself unable to focus on a single task at work for an extended period of time. I refresh my browser with my homepages set to obnug.com almost involuntarily. I even wander around Graham Watson's ESPN blog searching for ANYTHING to satisfy my craving for insight on the game. Am I alone in my near state of instanity? Are there others out there with this complex? Please weigh in with your comments.
This content was not created by OBNUG and therefore may not meet our standards. On the contrary, it probably exceeds them.

I will steal a quote from Nick Hornby’s Fever Pitch where he describes how often he thinks of his beloved Arsenal club.
“…for alarmingly large chunks of an average day, I am a moron.”
Already this morning I have put significant time into these thoughts:
1. I am so glad this game is not being played in China. Kudos to Gene for only agreeing to a China game if the Ducks still agreed to play another game on The Blue.
2. I wish Jeron Johnson would wrap up more. I am not a fan of the big shoulder hit. If he had went to wrap up on Blount instead of lunge at him, we wouldn’t have to see the TD highlight of Blount leaping over Reveles.
3. I am glad the VA Tech game is not the season opener next year. I don’t know if I could handle another full summer of hype. If we must schedule an FCS team, please do it for the opener.
4. My daily teeter-totter of confidence vs pessimism. What if Kellen Moore has a sophomore slump? If we win by 40, will I then respond to the internet trolls?
5. Friday means no more talk about late hits and cheap shots. It also means no more John Hunt articles in my Google alerts.
6. Is there a ‘journalist" out there that won’t use YouTube links as a reporting source?
7. Has Bacon’s ankle heeled yet so the clock on his suspension can start?
8. Is that the best crew ESPN can send here? I would even take Mike Golic again.
9. Craig James will forever be in my Pantheon of hated football pundits, but Fowler just made a case to be added as a candidate for Public Enemy #1.
10. Win or Lose, should I take Friday off from work. There comes a moment at work when you’ve made up your mind that you just aren’t doing anything productive for the rest of the day. I think I just hit that point for the rest of the week.
"...east and west is the problem, north and south the solution."

Welcome to the internet. News is now link, source and video supported.

Because he did the “O” before the Holiday Bowl? Give me a break.

YouTube and “media source” should not be confused.
Give me a break.
Are you ok this morning? Did someone else eat all the Marshmellow Matey’s?

Actually, I’ve had a terrible day at work so far. Two people in my department are one mistake away from getting canned.
And YouTube absolutely can be a media source, it just usually isn’t.
Examples:
Video coverage of a 5 million lbs building moving across the street is a media source.
Video coverage of a cat sleeping on a piano is probably not.
I’ve seen CNN, Fox News, MSNBC all use “Source: YouTube” in stories on their networks from things like domestic abuse, police brutality, Iranian protests. Eat the chicken, spit out the bones.
In regards to the Fowler thing – He made the signature “O” with his hands before a game – and now he’s candidate for Public Enemy #1?
