Bout Time?
I have heard a lot of people say it’s about time GB did something like this, but I say perfect timing. He may not have planned it this way but the reputation has built to where BSU is getting great tallent and it’s time to strike when the iron is hot. In 2010 and 11 BSU will have it’s best chance to beat some of those teams on the road, and then bring in the even bigger recruits.

The ESPN Radio SportsCenter update just told me San Jose St. delayed their game with Stanford in ‘010 to pick up a game at Alabama, thus giving them 1 million more smack-a-roo’s.
We need to do the same thing.

Teams that would make cents
Notre Dame- Their fans would want it, it’s a HUGE program..NUF said
Arizona State- Dennis Erickson, pressure from the AD, big TV game
Colorado- Dan Hawkins, the school might not want to lose to Boise State, but to even get some real pre- season hype would be a plus for this program.
Miami, FL- rebuilding, trying to grab some National recognition for something other than putting the boot to the competition.
Ole Miss- Old coach, up and coming program, makes a great story for pre-game hype..
Let’s face it, no one is going to be knocking down Gene’s door to pay big money unless there is something in it for them. We aren’t going to be getting any calls from Washington State or UW. You can be pretty sure that no PAC-10 team (with maybe the exception of ASU) will be paying BSU to play them. Most teams that would consider playing BSU know that they have a good chance of losing, they just will be betting on the fact that they will gain much needed pre-season hype and the chance at knocking off a now well respected (and ranked)mid-major. We just need to focus on beating Oregon and the phone might start to ring for GB.
Good call
on Ole Miss and the Buffs. I’m rather intimidated from an Ole Miss game, however. Recently they’ve been running under the radar, which gives them excellent opportunity to be great. Actually, I fear them even more than Florida.
