No more Hawkinses at Boise State: Drew leaves due to concussion history
Walk-on QB-turned-WR Drew Hawkins has left the Boise State football team due to his history with concussions (HT: Ralphie). "Hawkins sustained his latest concussion in a recreational softball game." At least it wasn't intramurals.

Hate to say it...
….but it feels kinda good to not have the Hawkins’ stank still lingering in the Bronco football program. When is daddy gonna grow some balls and schedule a home-and-home with Boise State? Never? What a wuss.

“Stupid Hawkinses, tricksy Hawkinses, always keeping it from us… yes, my precious. We wants it!”
Concussions are bad news. I hope he doesn’t have long term results due to this.

That's really too bad :(
I was kind of looking forward to seeing Drew thrown in for some special plays like a WR pass or throwing him in behind center with Kellsy out wide for some good ole fashion trickery. I thought he did pretty well during the spring and I was was hoping that the coaches could find some ways to utilize his athleticism.
Coach Petersen Says
“Note to self Kellen Moore is not allowed to play softball or do any other thing that will get him hurt”
I feel for Drew Hawkins. I wish him the best in recovery and hope he is successful in all that he does.
cexeko, please you can’t be serious with your comment.
