Readers of the sidebar know that I like to take sojourns away from the "pure" football approach and indulge in a little whimsy. I was thinkng about Austin and placed him in the Hutt/Bedard/Youngblood tradition of wideouts at Bosie State, maybe historically the single best unit going back to '68. Here's my take of a typical AP catch.
(Austin lines up):"What a wonderful fall day! Doesn't the blue turf match the sky ? One so feels like a jaunt in such marvelous weather!'
(Ball is snapped; Austin takes off-talks to D-back)"So nice of you to come along! One so enjoys accompaniment in such splendid scenery !"
(KL launches ball)"Wait ho! I do believe the ball is coming! Yes, indeed, here it comes! I shall be going up to receive it. Will you be joining me? No? Well wait here as I shall be back presently!"
(Austin jumps 45 feet in the air)" Ahh what a breathtaking view! The stands look so dramatic.Do I see snow on the foothills? Oh I think the ball is here-yes, yes it is. I must ensure that I have it securely "
(Austin looking down at D-back whose head is craned back in slack jawed amazement-AP still suspended says to him )"Look lively down there! Im coming back! One would hate to fall directly on you thus snapping your spiny neck"
Austin crashes down on D-back splattering him, D-back's arms flailing akimbo, desperately trying in any way to affect AP"s reception to no avail.
For fade pattern, add 10 feet.
