Words I would love to hear from Petersen.

“I’m not leaving until Boise is a BCS program.”

Fu manchu.

Pat Hill is still here. And better yet, he’s coming into Boise next season.

I hope another 61 unanswered points is in the discussion.

Love Maisel's 3-pt stance this morning:

Isn’t it great that the closest Heisman race ever came down to candidates who hadn’t reached blip status on anyone’s preseason radar? Obviously, with the top four candidates so closely bunched, the argument will continue long after Mark Ingram’s tears dry. But that’s the essence of fandom. Ingram, Toby Gerhart and Ndamukong Suh got there based on their play. Now, if someone can explain how Kellen Moore finished only seventh, I’ll have no questions whatsoever.

Maybe not.

There’s a Jake Locker train coming into the station. I bet he’ll have plenty of pre-season hype with Sark’s 2nd season.

Honestly

Coach Pete probably doesn’t need a raise, and getting more seats will help the program more in the long term. BSU has good assistant coaches, and a good track record of promoting them. In a perfect world, give every all the money they want, but BSU probably isn’t a more than a 1.1 million dollar a year school for their football coach, at least, not with their current stadium and TV deal.

which isn't to say...

Coach Pete might very well deserve more money. But for the program, getting more seats is absolutely more important.

rec'd

I love how Coach Pete makes sure the facilities and auxiliary coaches are first. Unlike most coaches out there.
