The Mikrino Poll: The Broncos visit Logan, Utah. Logan thanks them for bringing a fervent fanbase along.
Welcome all to the Mikrino Poll. A carnival ride of preposterousness, without the Carnies. No instead we have Aggies. They have more than three teeth and no grim reaper tattoos. Most of the time. This week investigate the crime scene that is Utah State Football. We'll have some real prophetic poll choices and a boatload of laughter.
Because you can't have slaughter, without laughter! Am I right, or am I right?
Utah State Aggies. They're cut from the same cloth of Idaho or New Mexico State when it comes their ability to play football, but with a slightly more bearable fanbase. They played their first year of football in 1892, with no coach. Professor Mayo came along four years later to coach the team, they went 0-1. And so began a legacy of underachievment that has reigned supreme ever since. Seriously, Utah State has never produced a 10 win season, and have only won nine games twice before, back in the 60's. Their last winning campaign was when they stormed to a 6-6 record in 1997. They beat the Broncos that year. It's also the year of their last bowl appearance, in Boise, in a losing effort to Cincinnati. Damn you Cincinnati!
Diondre Borel. He played against the Boise State Defense last year. He got up close and personal with Ryan Winterswyk. He also went 3 of 8 for 35 yards passing, and gained an impressive 12 yards rushing on 11 carries. He gave up an INT and a sack before being relegated to the bench in the second quarter. His Kaepernick-esque performance can expect to be repeated this year. Winterswyk says so. And whatever Winterswyk wants, he gets.
On a side note; I'm really not liking not being able to paste my photos...Kevan...or should I call you, Mayor Swear?
As you can expect, all this mediocrity can have a negative affect on the fanbase. I've attended two Bronco games in Romney Stadium/Bronco Stadium East, and it really could be a great small venue. The Bronco fans nearly outnumbered the home fans both times I was there. The Aggies are cause for one of the lowest average attendance rankings in FCS football. Just below sixty percent of capacity, and slightly better than the NCAA minimum of 15,000 (to which, Idaho does not qualify). But the Aggies really do have some good fans. Especially when they're playing basketball.
I'd post more obnoxious photos, but I know some of you are lazy and don't click on the links.
Onto the poll...onto the hate!
This content was not created by OBNUG and therefore may not meet our standards. On the contrary, it probably exceeds them.

Alas, that's part of the insanity of the Mikrino poll.
You must choose, young padowan. You must choose wisely.
Boise State - The best in all the land (The "land" being Idaho, and large parts of California, Oregon, and Nevada.)
You have my permission to paste as many Tummi Yummies photos as you want
Assuming that Tummi Yummies isn’t a euphemism for something.
I trust you, Mikrino. I trust you and I hate you.

Is it just me?
…or doesn’t Tummi Yummi look like a very obese Wolverine?

Love it.
Utah State is worth something. While attending Ricks College, I was at the announcement where President Hinckley announced that Ricks College would become BYU-Idaho and as a result, the athletic department would be disbanded. He made an excellent comment [paraphrasing], “…After watching BYU perform against Utah State last weekend, I’m not so sure I shouldn’t do the same thing in Provo.”
One of the more defining/happy memories of my life at a church institution.
Edit: Ok, so now my wife reminds me that I remembered it wrong. They lost to Air Force, not Utah State…. making this whole comment null. But, I wrote a lot, so I’m not deleting it!

I was tempted to choose the Kyle Wilson one.

Hey, the 1997 H-bowl!
I was there, for some reason. I was only in 8th grade.
