If it means a BCS auto-bid
I’d support it.
Of course, I’m still of the mind that the MWC expands to take Boise St, Fresno, and one other club (Nevada? Houston? Hawaii? Tulsa?) to become an auto-bid league.
Thinking back over previous years, a WAC-MWC title game would’ve been pretty great. BYU-BSU in ’06, BYU-Hawaii in ’07, Utah-BSU last year.
That said, it would be horrible in years like this when it looks like two non-BCS teams will play in BCS games.

No, no, no.
I won’t become a fan of the MWC, even if we join it; solely because they don’t want to overthrow the BCS, they want to join it. A WAC/MWC championship game would be great to watch, but it would be at the expense of playing into the BCS’s hands.
I’m not for that sort of thing.

it would at least help solve some of the scheduling problems that mid-major schools face.
Would it, really? So, a 2-3 loss MWC plays in the regional championship game against an undefeated Boise … and Boise loses. Then no one’s in the BCS. Even if both teams had 0-1 losses, you’re still competing for that BCS money. It’s not like the SEC/ACC/etc where regardless of who goes, the conference will still get a payout.
Stop trying to play into the BCS’ hands. All this talk of “fixing” the BCS will do nothing other than support it.

if it plays out this way, then they shouldnt be going to a BCS. nuff said.
Nice subjectivity.
[Noteable wins] Georgia Tech-ACC (Clemson, North Carolina, Florida State, Virginia Tech and Duke.)
So, UNC, Florida State, and flash-in-the-pan Duke are quality wins?
I will give that Ga Tech’s schedule has been better than Boise’s, but at this point in the season, you can’t argue that over TCU or Cincy (can’t believe I’m defending Cincy). Of the three, they rank only above Boise in the BCS computer average.
That said, a head to head scenario Boise vs. Ga Tech would be interesting. I don’t think we’ve defended against anything like a triple option. The closest I can think of recently is Nevada’s pistol. That makes me quite a bit more comfortable about that subjective case. Add that with the fact that Ga Tech would have a hard time containing Moore, and I’ll take Boise over the Jackets. Besides, who has the 1 loss of the two?

If..
it means a BCS auto-bid I’m in. But if not I think the whole arrangement kind of takes on a second-grade, playground feeling to it. “Nooooo, the big kids won’t let me play!” So you go start another game when you, and everyone else, knows it’s just a sub-par replacement for the real deal. Then you end up looking pathetic and it’s lame and depressing for everyone involved.

and the dolla bills?
This seems like the worst option. Sure it would be an entertaining game, but it would only create a cannibalistic situation without the benefit of a BCS affiliation to give a chance to the loser. If they are going to do that, they might as well re-merge and become the old 16 team WAC. So many teams around the country could benefit from conference realignment.
Unless things are completely redesigned, Boise State is in a much better position of a BCS bid with their current setup.
Another Watson wanna be...
According to the MWC/WAC championship proposal article, BSU and VaTech are playing Labor day next year. Did I miss something? Did they official change the day and all of bronco nation messed the memo?
I love the colors Orange and Blue. Go Broncos!!! Go Titans!!! BAD WORD Florida!!!
It has already been proven that BSU does not need any help from the MWC.
The MWC needs Boise State’s past record and winning tradition.
The Broncos can stay where they are keep demoralizing WAC teams and get into BCS bowls. Maybe not every year, but eventually something has to give.
Sure they’ll continue hear the “weak schedule” argument, but they have gained the notoriety already for being a consistent winner.
I say down with the BCS , hello PLAYOFF!
Boise State - The best in all the land (The "land" being Idaho, and large parts of California, Oregon, and Nevada.)
Really??
If TCU and Boise finish undefeated this will be the 3rd time Boise has been ranked behind a MWC school while undefeated and not gone to a BCS bowl game.
Also it should be BCS bowl, not bowls. I prefer a playoff too but that is not happening any time soon.

actually if you guys go 13-0 again, tcu still will get the auto bid when they go 12-0
you guys will want to join the mwc. can you imagine going 25-1 for 2 years and your only loss to tcu and not getting a bcs bid. i want both teams to go but tcu is first in line. next year it could happen again utah is loaded as well as boise state. i saw that boise only has five seniors on roster. utah has two qb’s with ncaa experience next year. most of the defense back and skill positions. we also have pitt first game of the season and they might win the big east and would be ranked high at beginning of season. we also have notre dame which is a nation wide audience and that game will probably be played with a new coach and qb but it’s still n.d tcu loses there 3 best defensive players and byu losses pitta and hall. i see utah going 12-0 next year if the have no injuries. if boise can beat va tech which i think they will you will roll to another undefeated season. if utah goes 11-2 like i think they will and tcu crushes they bcs opponent i’m willing to say utah might start the season 14th or 15th in nation especially if they get usc in vegas bowl and defeat them. boise will be screwed again. just the way it is. your best option is the mwc.
yes i am obsessive, obnoxious, in your face and all about covering the spread. those are my good qualities.

I would be a great game, but
I’d rather see the WAC champ take on the Pac10 champ and the MWC champ take on the Big12 champ, while the Big East/SEC and the next best two teams play each other.
But we all know that won’t happen anytime soon.
