I'm sorry if this ruins anybodies saturday football experience. But The basketball team survived a close one in the Missoula Montana Tourney.
The Broncos played a good offensive game, this could just be because of Loyola Marymount's poor defense. The Broncos were lead by La'Shard Anderson who did some work in his 38 minutes of playing time. Scoring a game high 26 points while goin 13-14 from the line, including 6-6 in the final 35 seconds. The Broncos also got great contributions from Paul Noonan and Kurt Cunnigham, who both chipped in 16 points, Noonan going 3-8 from deep. It was a no-show for the Broncos senior leader Anthony Thomas, he only chipped in 5 points and 2 assists, as he turned the ball over 3 times and had 3 fouls.
The conference as a whole also looked good, That one team up north that can't play football, has a decent basketball team, as they knocked off Utah for the first time since 1938. Fresno won, utah State won, Hawai'i won, and NM State LOST( do sports matter there?)
