That is hilarious!
The reaction from the fans is priceless! Same old crap, and being compared to Troy!? Come on now…

no benefit in playing bsu?
there’s something wrong with tide fans if they think playing (and possibly beating) a top ten team doesn’t benefit their program. it seems to me it’s just another lame rationalization to keep playing out-of-conference creampuffs. it’s the typical bcs attitude of ’what’s in it for me’ that is stifling competition, limiting college football from achieving across-the-board parity and eliminating the good ole boy bowl system that keeps lining the pockets of the elite schools and the bottom tier schools in their conferences that are obviously teams that don’t compete on the level of tcu, bsu, utah, byu, fresno st or nevada.

OOC schedule
I think the majority of us tide fans wouldn’t be opposed to playing y’all if we didn’t play at Penn State in the same month. I think it would be a cool match up. Also Mississippi State would probably beat nevada or fresno st. And we didn’t compare Boise’s talent with Troy’s, just that playing either school would have similar results: A loss helps elevate Troy or Boise and makes Bama look really bad and a win is just what would be expected.

let me get this straight
a win over a top ten team is just what would be expected? another example of the arrogance of the sec and other bcs conferences. a win over a top ten team would be expected!?
how is playing boise state at home the same month you play penn state on the road a relevant or rational argument? we’re offering you an opportunity to solidify your hold on a possible #1 ranking here and all you can do is whimper and whine that a loss would make bama look really bad. do you think those “quality wins” over florida international or north texas or chattanooga make you look good?
we know our wins over sub-par, below .500 teams aren’t the same as your wins over elite, top twenty teams. c’mon alabama’s of the world, throw us a bone. you tell us we’re not worthy because we don’t play your schedule and then you tell us you won’t play us because a loss would make you look bad. that’s crap!
take your ball and go home!

A loss to Boise is different nowadays
Case in point: Oregon.
Did a win over Oregon help us? Most definitely. Did a loss affect them? Only for 8 weeks.
’Bama would be out in a loss vs. Troy, but a loss vs. Boise, they would still be in the picture.

bama like's to schedule two sunbelt cupcakes every year
this year it’s north texas and florida international. their other team ooc is chattanooga. yes they did beat an over-rated va tech team that is going to have 4 losses. all boise state has to do is beat va tech by more than ten points. it’s basically a home field game for them too. i hope boise thrashes va. tech next year.
