The Mikrino Poll: San Jose State is playing on Blue Turf need I say more?
Welcome friends, haters, Bronconians, to another edition of The Mikrino Poll. This week we explore the myriad ways that the Spartans of Saint Joe should, could, and will lose this match up. Before we get onto that, let's look into the past of San Jose, their willingness to lose to Boise State, and why that should continue tommorrow, and for eternity.
San Jose State's first year of football was in 1892. They went 0-1 against an unknown opponent, with an unknown coach, losing 4-0. And thus began a mediocre football team in central California, and not much has changed since. SJSU is a career .509 team, with a record of 447-434-37. See what I mean? They were at their best during the '30s and '40s, winning eight of their 16 conference championships during that span. They have not won their conference since 1991, when they split the Big West crown with someone else (don't ask me who). They went 6-4-1 that year.
someone has been taking full advantage of their medical marijuana.
San Jose State has never beaten Boise State, EVER. The Broncos are 9-0 all time against the Spartans, outscoring them 400-156. That's an average score of 44-17 per contest. Sounds about right. Everyone always comments on how close the games with San Jose have always been. In actuality, only two (2004, 2006) were decided by a TD or less. The average margin of victory in the other seven is 33.85 points. 35 point spread anyone?
Let's face facts, the Spartans are more than horrible this year. If Boise State doesn't blast through them like Michael Atkinson at a Sizzler, then we've got problems. If you didn't like the Broncos drop in the BCS last week, then you don't want a 17-10 showing tomorrow. Let's get on to the poll. Where Dick Tomey and his Spartans go to get beat up from the feet up!
Happy Halloween!

They were at there best…
Where best?
Other than teams above losing, it’s interesting to know that movement in the BCS poll will rest mostly on what Oregon does.

i wanted to vote for each of the first four offerings. i think the bronco monster has been awakened and san jose state should be afraid … very, very afraid. there isn’t enough weed in the world to allow dickie t to create enough of a haze to forget about the beating his team is going to take this weekend.
This is national TV. So don't pick your noses or scratch your nuts.
Don't worry, I will still be comparing Matt K to Brock Forsey...
…assuming he has a repeat performance, that it! But I still voted for Kellen throwing another 5 and being dismissed by the SEC Network…er, ESPN.
If playing in blue uniforms on a blue field is an unfair advantage, then isn't wearing green uniforms on a green field also an unfair advantage?
Wow...
In 2003 the Broncos killed SJSU 77-14. The Broncos also beat SJSU when they were D-1AA team. And to whomever wrote the SJSU football wikipedia page, Boise is not a rival. Especially when SJSU hasn’t beaten the Broncos
I love the colors Orange and Blue. Go Broncos!!! Go Titans!!!
