The Mikrino Poll: Craig James praises the Broncos? The end is near...
Welcome Bronco fans, and the other five of you, to the Mikrino Poll. We'll get to the verbal bashing of myself and UC Davis in a moment, but first, I opine about the current week's events.
In case you missed last night's college football on ESPN, and don't worry if you did, Cody Hawkins and Colorado are horrible. Since last night's game was in the bag with more than 6 minutes left, Craig James, Jesse Palmer, and Chris Fowler began the discussion of the rankings. All the upheaval, the movement, the upsets, what to make of all of it. Naturally, the discussion came around the Boise State, TCU, and Houston. Palmer asked Craig James where he had Boise State. James said he had them at 9 this week. Palmer asked who he thought was the better of the three, James said he ranked Boise State higher than Houston (12) or TCU (15). Palmer then said, "Throw out the rankings, right now, who is the best NAQ team in the country." James replied, " It has to be Boise State." Palmer asked if their schedule would end up hurting them. James said he didn't think it would hurt, but it definitely won't help them. "It's the same old story with the Broncos." James said, " Their conference continues to bring them down. But you can't hold it against them if they continue to do what they're doing." "They're gonna have to blowout everybody to stay in the top 5." Palmer said.
(Please note the quotes are not verbatim, but are accurate.)
Anyone who has ever had to listen to Craig James talk about Boise State before last night would be amazed to hear these words come from his mouth. He went on say he would probably pick Kellen Moore over Houston's Case Keenum, but it was a toss up. And of course, he'd take TCU's defense.
We've all been a bit overwhelmed this week by the sudden onslaught of what-ifs, and maybes, circulating above Boise like an inversion from hell. Apparently , its been particularly annoying to Kevan. I agree to an extent. But being the confrontational, abrupt, and all-around jerkoff that I am, I love seeing he college football world in such disarray at how to handle the current situation. Boise State being at the center of it makes it all the more enjoyable. Maybe I'm just a revolutionary who enjoys the opportunity to buck the system, I don't know. But I do find a certain serenity in the uproar.
I commend and agree with Kevan's call to Coach Pete-esque-ness-ism? We do need to enjoy the Broncos current place in college football, while ignoring the hyperbole, suppositions, and hypotheticals.
One week at a time Bronco Nation, we are not Fresno State. Besides, we'll need all of you at the Rose Bowl come January so don't waste your energy now!
Onto the poll.
This is where I usually include a few facts and tidbits about UC Davis. Aside from Coach Pete setting a few records there, I have nothing. I visited UC Davis once. It's small, and outside of Sacramento. Interesting, no? What better way to discount the Aggies of Davis, CA by saying nothing about them. YES, I win!
Instead the poll this week will focus on other things. Of course I'll ask if you hate me, I expect a few new additions to that group. Yawn. But also LaGarrette Blount, how much the Broncos will win by, and something else I'll make up when I get to it.
Get your vote on Bronco Fans! And that other five too...I guess.

rec'd for the ego boost. I feel like I'm at a carnival!
Boise State - The best in all the land (The "land" being Idaho, and large parts of California, Oregon, and Nevada.)
Best. Mikrino Poll. Ever.
