Happy trails, Jeremy Childs; enjoy your NFL riches
Jeremy Childs made it official today. He is entering the NFL Draft.
The junior wide receiver was stellar in his brief career with the Broncos, setting school records and making a mockery of many a WAC secondary. Look out, NFL nickel and dime defenses!
That leaves Austin Pettis as the go-to receiver on the roster, although Titus Young and Kirby Moore are expected to play big roles, too. We'll have more information and reaction to Childs' decision tomorrow.

I'll be the first to say: I'll take Wilson over Childs anyday. AND…..since I'm sorta bitter at Childs for leaving Bronco nation, I always suspected he had a coke habit, the way he always sniffled and rubbed his nose….. I'm just sayin…

My thought is that this turns our receiving corps from excellent and experienced to good but young all in one fell swoop.
Wish you had stayed Jeremy. Good luck on the next level.

This is a pretty big blow – that leaves Pettis, Titus Young (maybe) and Shoemaker as the experience coming back. Mitch Burroughs seems to have had a good year on the scout team and there are quite a few redshirts listed at WR, albeit most are undersized. Yes, Kirby Moore is coming, but I think Kellen's success has put unrealistic expectations on a true freshman receiver coming in to make an impact.
Despite the lack of depth, I am confident the coaching staff will adjust with a healthy dose of Efaw and both Martin and Avery are good at catching the ball out of the backfield.
With Wilson coming back the defense is solidified, leaving room for the offense to not be quite as explosive.

You're right about Kirby Moore. People are putting an awful lot of expectations on the kid for not having even hit a college campus yet. Lest we forget what happened to Boy Meets World when it reached college.
