OSU's Rodgers doubtful for Civil War, Bronco fans relieved

One of several impossibly large dominoes that need to fall this weekend for Boise State to have any shot at a BCS bowl is for Oregon to upset Oregon State. As such, we find this nugget particularly encouraging:

Oregon State running back Jacquizz Rodgers is doubtful for Saturday's Civil War game against Oregon because of a shoulder injury. Rodgers averages 123.3 rushing yards a game, which ranks 12th in the nation.

Now, about blackmailing those USA Today and Harris Poll voters ... How's that coming, OBNUG intern?

Still working on it, sir. Do you still need me to take your Kellen Moore Jersey to the cleaners so it will be ready for the game Friday?

Way to be on top of things, intern. I will note this on your quarterly review.

Thank you, Sir! I will have your shoes polished by 5:00 pm. Anything else?

Thank you, Sir! Would it be too much to ask if I could have this Thursday off? Or, if not the whole day, at least a few hours in the late afternoon. You see, it's Thanksgiving and I have been putting in so many hours for you that I haven't seen my family in so long. If you would, I would be so appreciative, I will even make the hours up to you, somehow, some way.

Sounds to me like Bob Cratchet intern needs some time for the family… poor tiny Tim not doing so good? Well, there's going to be about 8 months coming up when there's little to no BSU news, so I think intern boy should just take one for the team.

Sincerely,
