Former Boise State recruit jumps ocean to Hawaii

Jack Sula, a RB/LB from Carson HS (California) who signed a letter of intent with the Broncos in February, has committed to play for Hawaii instead. Greg McMackin lured him with the promise of playing time at running back and lots and lots of Coca-Cola.

"Hawai'i is the perfect place for me," Sula said.

Sula was featured in an ESPN the Magazine article about his upbringing surrounded by gang life in Southern California. An appropriate follow-up story might be Sula's college life, surrounded by Polynesian tattoos and the smell of poi.
