Final score: Boise State 61, Fresno State 10
Congratulations to Ian Johnson and all the Boise State seniors. What a way to go out. What a half.
Leading only 13-10 at halftime, the Broncos exploded for 28 points in the third quarter and 20 more in the fourth. Before you knew it, Pat Hill wasn't so upset about not getting a field goal opportunity at the end of the first half.
Johnson had his first 100-yard game of the season and tied Marshall Faulk's WAC TD record. Kyle Wilson returned a punt for a TD. Bush Hamdan threw a pick-six. Everyone got involved.
We have a few quick thoughts after the jump, and we'll have much, much more on Monday. Enjoy the weekend and tomorrow's games, and we'll see you all on Monday. Go Broncos!
... congratulations on all your successes, Ian Johnson ... and thank you ... are you there, God? It's me, Pat Hill ... hope none of the bowl representatives left at halftime ... Ryan Winterswyk was a man possessed - does he know he's not a senior? ... great second half by the offensive line ... how was Kyle Wilson's punt return TD only the fourth longest in school history? ... didn't miss a beat with an all-senior linebacking corps ... Tom Brandstater = not a factor ... was Ian Johnson running like Jeremy Avery or was D.J. Harper running like Ian Johnson? ... was it a prerequisite to have a sign if you attended the game? ...

Kirk Herbstriet must have multiple personalities, he had nothing but praise for BSU this morning on Gameday. What is up with this guy? He couldn't say anything good about them last week and even predicted Nevada to win. I have not seen a more on-again-off-again-on-again bandwagoner since Graham Watson.

Finally they beat the 50 point mark!!! And boy, what a way to do it. What a game! Poor Fresno, there's always next year!

Yeah, that was a lot of fun. Too bad you used the Ron Burgundy quote for the Idaho game, because that 3rd quarter scoring binge was amazing. Darrell Acrey only gets one set of downs in mop of time and we still stuff the run all night.
The crowd chanting for Ian was pretty cool – the same crowd that was ready to give up on him two games ago. Just shows the BSU bandwagon can also be applied to individual players.
Kellen made another statement to be conference offensive player of the year.

Here is my favorite quote from a Fresno Bee blogger during the game. And this is when the score is still 7-7:
"Broncos QB Kellen Moore ought to be nicknamed "Cool Kellen." For a freshman, the dude is incredibly composed under fire. He's also deadly accurate with the football. Bulldogs fans are going to be awfully sick of No. 11 in coming seasons.:
