Boise State - Nevada gameday comment thread
Welcome, Bronco fans, to one of the biggest Boise State gamedays all season long. We're glad you joined us. And we're glad you brought us a Blizzard.
First up today is the showdown between Boise State and Nevada (2:00, ESPN2, KTVB) in what everyone seems to think will be a close game. We'll see about that. Then, later on, Utah hosts BYU (4:00, The Mtn.) in a game that could very well decide Boise State's BCS fate. After those two games, a nap.
Come join us for our comment thread, and chat along throughout both games. We're anxious to hear what you have to say, and we're excited to see where the Broncos stand after today.

It is time for the naysayers and the Wolfpack to face reality.

The wolves will come out all fierce and snarling. Then a stampede of Broncos will trample them. My reasons for a Boise State win are: Avery, Johnson, Martin, Childs, Peretta, Winterswyk, Johnson-J, Williams, Gingg, Acrey, Hout, Iloka, Wilson, Thompson……need I say more? Nevada would win all their games, too with such talent (Texas Tech and Missouri-maybe). Oh yeah…..and Kellen Moore. He is the icing on the cake. Happy big loss on your home field Nevada!

Boy, me too! I think they just need to keep throwing the ball until they ware out Nevada's D. Then maybe we'll see some good runs.

Someone needs to tell mark johnson that was incomplete

Maybe he's a little jittery about being on ESPN

Lack of possessions? What is Tom Scott talking about?

I'm surprised that ESPN hasn't put up a disclaimer that this is Boise State's game feed so people will know why the announcers are so hommerish.

I wonder if Mark Johnson could have used a different gambling phrase than "crap-shoot" to describe this game…

"And that cannon is loud here at Mackey Stadium!" -Mark Johnson

Maybe the airs a little bit lighter there, thats why the passes are sailing and the kicks are soaring.

There is the soft spot! Around the outside.

"Johnson on Johnson" – Mark Johnson
So is that a Johnson on Johnson on Johnson?

I wonder if Boise State is going to beat Nevada, or if Nevada is going to beat themselves.

Where's all the offensive steamrolling they were supposed to do to us? Vinny Perretta stole it.
by pretendhuman on Nov 22, 2008 2:32 AM PST reply actions
"This pistol offense is mis-firing today" – Mark Johnson
by goodhandsman on Nov 22, 2008 2:35 AM PST reply actions
Tom Scott was jealous that Mark Johnson got to say that one first.

Kellen has 315 yards at the freakin' half. This game never lives up to its billing…outside last year's fluky tight game the Broncos own the Pack…always have.

Graham Watson is probably expecting a huge comeback and a whopping 50+ percent overall completion rating for Kaepernick.

Everywhere in Nevada, bookies are wailing and gnashing their teeth in despair. Bronco fans knew we would more than cover and I hope they make the bookies pay.

Look at all the open seats in the stadium! Poor Nevada fans.

Nevada doesn't even have 100 totoal yards in this game, BSU has 319 all passing
by goodhandsman on Nov 22, 2008 9:31 AM PST reply actions
He only needs 44 more yards to hit 3000 yards for the season.
by goodhandsman on Nov 22, 2008 9:50 AM PST reply actions
I bet half of the Nevada fans don't stay through half time.
