Nerd alert! Geek it up on SJSU's Second Life campus
Second Life, for those of you who don't know, is a fake online world and pretty much the dorkiest thing we have ever heard of. And now it is available as a learning alternative for San Jose State students.
SJSU created an entire digital campus, complete with a quad and an auditorium. To get to Dick Tomey's office, take a left at the socially-unacceptable-waste-of-time hut and a right at the living-vicariously-through-an-avatar tree. You can't miss it.
Maybe this is the reason why San Jose State has such trouble recruiting.

Trouble recruiting? We have almost 3,000 graduate students in our master's degree in Library and Information Science and turn hundreds of qualified students away each year…
