Surprise, surprise: OBNUG gets re-design

Friends and loyal readers, welcome to the brand new OBNUG.com.

We hope you like our new digs. We certainly do. The new design has been in the works pretty much since Day Two of OBNUG, but given our rampant procrastination and our obsession with having "better things to do," we finally got around to it.

What do you think? Let us know in the comments section or use the handy contact form above to send us an email.

We made changes with you readers in mind. You may have noticed the improved comments section below each post. Our comments now support gravatars, which are simply photos that will appear each time you leave a post on our site. Sign up for your own free gravatar at www.gravatar.com. There are also ways for you to give us feedback by rating our posts, viewing different pages, and keeping the conversation going with subscriptions. Even the latest comments are now featured on our front page. We'll be rolling out more features for you in the next few days, so keep an eye out for those.

One of the greatest new features of OBNUG is our mobile site. Now you can get all the traditionally cheeky writing you've come to know and love right on your phone. The design is ideal for mobile phone users, and it should make the experience quick and easy.

The new design is split into featured stories on top and blog format on the bottom. If you're a little confused, don't worry. We were too for a few weeks. Let us know if you have any issues.

Finally, make sure you update your RSS feed for the site since it has changed from Blogger. We'll try to keep you updated on the newest changes, too, as they happen.

Thanks, OBNUG readers. Enjoy.

Sincerely,
OBNUG

Congrats on the redesign, now your playing with the big boys. Let me know if you need any HTML help. Wordpress can have its moments.

Thanks, JTR. We’re kind of in beta now for the next two weeks, so I’ll hit you up if need be. Keep on keeping on.

I gotta say when I first saw this I thought I spelled OBNUG wrong. Then I saw the Quarterback article and began to feel at home. It looks good though. I am glad to be here for the evolution! Keep up the good work. Now I just need to figure out the gravatar thing.

The poster formerly known as Mr. T is now known as goodhandsman. I am happy to be the first to post with a gravitar. I think I deserve a NUGy for that! (Kevan’s doesn’t count)

We’ll keep that in mind during the first round of NUGies this year

That might actually give you 2 NUGies, one for the the gravatar and one for the name NUGy

It would be an honored to accept a NUGy. I will start planning my acceptance speech. I will make sure to include something about Rob Akey and that glorious mustache.
