Note: do not TXT 'SCORES' to 68255

The new radio home of the Broncos is rolling out the features for the upcoming Boise State football season. And spam text messages are top priority on their list.

Here is the fine print posted on the page for KIDO's Bronco TXT Club. Things get interesting around the third sentence.

"By submitting your information you will become a member of the 'STATION' Mobile Club. We'll send information about contests and promotions to your mobile phone. Standard text messaging rates apply." Or you can use a longer one "When you enter "Name of promotion", you'll automatically become a member of STATION mobile listener club. We'll send information about contests and promotions to your mobile phone. Standard text messaging rates apply." This should be mentioned on air when promoting the text giveaway. With this, we can place all entries into your mClub where you can retain the members and continue to send messages to them. Please email me prior to the campaign so I can manually begin the transfer process.

Um, no thanks. We'll pass.

One Bronco Nation Under God (OBNUG) seeks to provide a source of relevant BSU news, mature BSU perspective, and biased BSU commentary with wit, reason, timeliness, and irreverence. That, and Vandal jokes.
